Day 01: Arrival and Drive to Shillong.
On the first day, you will reach Shillong by road (a drive of about 3 hours). Because of its rolling hills, weather trends and distinct landscape, Shillong is known as ‘Scotland of the East’. You will visit Umiam Lake on way. In Shillong, you will visit the local market and the famous Don Bosco Monument, Botanical Garden and Lady Hydri Park. You will also visit Ward’s Lake where you can enjoy a boat ride. After checking in the hotel, you will be given the rest of the day to relax and unwind.
Day 02: Drive from Shillong to Mawlynnong.
On the second day, you will get a chance to witness the grandeur and natural beauty of Meghalaya’s most significant tourist places. Enjoy the day at leisure and overnight stay at Shillong.
Day 03:Sightseeing at Mawlynnong
On the third day, you will spend the early morning while trekking Mawlynnong and interacting with the locals. You will see Balancing Rock, Sky Walk, Bangladesh Viewpoint and Living Root bridge. Then you will reach Cherrapunji by a drive that will take you through glorious rolling hills, unique vegetation and notably, Nohkalikai falls, also known as Seven Sisters Falls. You also have a chance to see Mawsmai Cave and Arwah Cave. Overnight stay at Cherrapunji.
Day 04:Departure back home
Visit to Maa Kamakhya Temple and Departure from Guwahati.
After early morning breakfast on the fourth and final day of your tour, you will proceed to Guwahati and visit Maa Kamakhya Temple. This temple is one of the most revered temples in India and counted among the Shakti Peethas. The last day of your trip will perhaps be the most spiritual and divine. This visit will be followed by a drive through the resplendent Nilachal Hills to reach Guwahati airport from where you will proceed to your respective onward destination.
